About a year ago I spent a week attending classes at The Cooper Institute in Dallas, TX and became a certified personal trainer. My motivation was to gain knowledge for the health and betterment of myself and my family.
A year later, I find it difficult to find the motivation to stay on track with my own fitness. My weight has been an issue for a number of years now and I finally started to make some progress a couple of years ago thanks to a sweet friend of mine who ran a fitness boot camp. I have now undone a lot of the work I put in. :(
With a lot of support from the best friends a woman could ask for, I have decided to try to start my own boot camp class in my neighborhood. I made a flyer and some of those previously mentioned friends have offered to help distribute them. I am offering a free week trial with an 8 week session starting the week after that ends.
I am hoping that getting this started will motivate me to be better about my own fitness. I feel like it would be hard to be taken too seriously as a trainer when you are overweight. At least until they get a few of my workouts in. ;)
